It was
late 90s when I met Bond, not James Bond (It was Ruskin Bond). It was because
of ‘Tele Kids’. After that, I found him in my text book. Thereafter, unassuming
Ruskin Bond became my first crush of teenage. Standing between ‘Grandfather’s
private zoo’ and ‘The Room on the Roof’, I found him as a thinker who could
sense us. ‘Angry River’ is a novella where children are considered as primary
protagonists. Suddenly I realized that something had been floating down from
Mussoorie to our small town, ‘something big and bloated’- It was not merely
‘Dust on the Mountain’, it was ‘The Blue Umbrella’- our yellowish nostalgia. Thank you SIR for your every word.
